  2. does anyone eat …
does anyone eat weeds and things like pine needles etc? i have been looking into foraging and some people save a fortune on food just by looking at edible flowers, herbs and fruit that can be found in hedges, and in the wild. i am going to do this this year when we get lots of weeds like dandelions and nettles, they are highly nutritious, make sure you do your homework on what is safe to eat.

  6. I dont know what …
I dont know what the situation is in Canada but here in the UK the Government puts tax called VAT (value added tax!) on food. I think if they realy cared abt healthy food they could reduce the tax on organic foods to a very low level – that would help it be similar in price to the rubbish food

  7. I’ve noticed I can …
I’ve noticed I can get by on 50 dollars a week for groceries. If you stick to the simple stuff. You can find a wholesale produce place to deliver bulk groceries to you for relatively low prices. Also, decide which foods you need to get organic and get those organic, get the rest non organic. I’m eating pretty much nothing but fruits and vegetables and seasonings and homemade dressings, veggie juices etc. For the time being, I’m able to swing it on a budget! Don’t give up girl!

  11. I can barely afford …
I can barely afford living on a raw/whole foods diet, and definitely cannot afford organic foods. I can’t grow my own many veggies on my patio, not enough sun light. California is soooo dang expensive! I might have to stop my raw food diet. It’s been 5 weeks and I’m loving it, but it’s putting the biggest whole in my wallet. I can’t afford to have 3 salads a day and cannot afford a variety of foods. This me off.

  12. you could also try …
you could also try to grow your own vegetables as much as you can! I live in an apartment in a city but i still grow my own tomatoes, it doesn’t make that big of a difference price wise but it’s better for you as well!

  17. The best thing to …
The best thing to do is grow your vegetables and fruits yourself, go to a farmers market, go to organic picking farms and pick everything yourself and/or find organic produce in your stores. I find there are a lot of organic greens in Costco so when I go with my grandmother I will get big bags of spinach, kale and carrots.

  18. The main problem …
The main problem now with Non Organic, and I have 4 boys at home and we really can only add some organic, and some raw food, my 6 2″ 20 year old is hungry nonstop, and only weighs about 150, though has a fast metobilism so how you do you put him on raw or vegan? Its possible but imagine the cost of healthy organic.

Because non organic is, radiated and Frankenstein GMO. At least US is, and the nutrients in the health store same thing, you have to pay more for non radiated now.
